Recommendations for Parliamentary Involvement in the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda

Recommendations for Parliamentary Involvement in the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda addresses the mechanisms and tools that parliamentarians can use to become involved in their country’s SDG implementation process.

Parliaments are a key actor in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. A new Policy Brief on Recommendations for Parliamentary Involvement in the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda addresses the mechanisms and tools that parliamentarians can use to become involved in their country’s SDG implementation process. This includes recommendations on building effective structures that work for the individual parliament, monitoring progress, and creating political will.

The Policy Brief is based on a study of 25 European parliaments, as well as discussions at the 19th ESDN Workshop that took place in June 2021 in Vienna.
