Sustainable finance is receiving more and more attention from policymakers and sustainable development practitioners. Without the appropriate funds, many of the necessary transformations of our economy and society will not be possible. In addition, defunding harmful activities, such as fossil fuel extraction is important to halt the destruction of our eco-systems and climate.
This ESDN Policy Brief is based on a peer-learning event held by the ESDN in November 2020. It includes recommendations on developing national sustainable finance strategies, on labelling sustainable products and on sustainable national budgets.
