The Wish Tree; The Vision of the Future
Sustainable Development Week in Elementary School Kuršanec will be held through two activities. One of the activities will be The Wish Tree and the other will be The Vision of the Future.
Sustainable Development Week in Elementary School Kuršanec will be held through the following activities:
- Wish Tree – we will acquire a tree on whose branches students will hang cards featuring their own messages regarding sustainable development. On these cards, they will write down ideas on how they can contribute to sustainable development goals, too. We hope that reflecting on these ideas will encourage them to put some of them into practice, thereby helping to reduce their ecological footprint.
- Vision of the Future – our school is attended by a large number of students from the Roma minority who live in difficult conditions, in a settlement that is underdeveloped in many aspects. Students will take photos of the current state of their village (the appearance of the streets, their yards, and their homes) and then use artificial intelligence tools to transform the look of their neighbourhood. In this way, they will clearly visualize what their village could look like in the future, which may encourage them to become more actively involved in addressing the problems that exist today.
Tjedan održivog razvoja u Osnovnoj školi Kuršanec obilježit ćemo kroz sljedeće aktivnosti:
- drvo želja - nabavit ćemo stablo na čije grane će učenici vješati kartice s vlastitim porukama usmjerenim prema održivom razvoju. Na kartice će zapisivati svoje ideje o načinima na koje bi i oni mogli doprinijeti ciljevima održivog razvoja. Nadamo se da će ih promišljanje o tim idejama potaknuti da neke od njih i realiziraju te tako doprinesu smanjenju ekološkog otiska.
- vizija budućnosti - našu školu pohađa velik broj učenika romske nacionalne manjine koji žive u teškim uvjetima, u naselju koje je u mnogim aspektima neuređeno. Učenici će fotografirati trenutno stanje (izgled ulica, svojih dvorišta i kuća), te će korištenjem alata umjetne inteligencije transformirati izgled svog naselja. Na taj način će zorno vidjeti kako bi u budućnosti moglo izgledati njihovo naselje, a to ih možda potakne da se i sami aktivnije uključe u rješavanje problema koji danas postoje.
