River Monitoring Citizen Science talk
Learn about water pollution through a citizen science investigation of a river sample. Discover how clean or polluted a river is by identifying its macroinvertebrates.

Join your local community water officer to learn about river water quality, how you can test your local rivers and what you can do to help. The event will involve an interactive presentation on river water quality and a citizen science investigation of a river water sample to discover how clean or polluted it is. We will be looking at macroinvertebrates (an animal lacking a backbone and large enough to be seen without a microscope) in the water as an indicator of water quality.
