Las Rozas Net Zero 2030 - SCOPE 3
Presentation of the LOCAL GREEN DEALS (LGD) and the CLIMATE ADAPTION MISSION in order to engage the Eco-Schools Network to achieve the goal: Las Rozas Net Zero 2030.
Throughout the 2025/2026 academic year, the Environmental Education Program has reached a total of 27 schools (public, private, and subsidized), making it the largest local network of eco-schools in Spain. Various activities and initiatives have been carried out, such as: Christmas with our Seniors, art therapy in nature, robotics to improve the environment, or promotion of circular economy through composting.
During the ESDW, the LOCAL GREEN DEALS (LGD) and the CLIMATE ADAPTION MISSION will be presented, and the commitments expected from each school will be explained to contribute to the municipality's goal: Las Rozas "Net Zero" by 2030, thus achieving climate neutrality.
Teachers from the schools, members of their management teams, and representatives from the City Council will attend the event, who will also present the new 2026/2027 program.
El Programa de educación ambiental ha contado a lo largo del curso 2025/2026 con un total de 27 centros educativos (públicos, privados y concertados), siendo la red local más amplia de España de eco-escuelas. Se han llevado a cabo diversas actividades y actuaciones, como la Navidad con nuestros mayores, arte terapia en la naturaleza, robótica aplicada a la mejora del medioambiente, o fomento de la economía circular a través del compostaje.
Durante la ESDW tendrá lugar la presentación del PACTOS VERDES LOCALES (LGD) y la MISIÓN DE ADAPTACIÓN CLIMÁTICA se explicarán los compromisos que se esperan por parte de cada uno de los centros educativos para contribuir al objetivo que tiene el municipio: Las Rozas “Objetivo Cero” 2030, para alcanzar así la neutralidad climática.
Asistirán al acto docentes de los centros escolares, miembros de sus equipos directivos, así como representantes del Ayuntamiento, quienes además presentarán el nuevo programa 2026/2027.
