Green Challenge: 7 Days for Change
Students will take part in a seven-day sustainability challenge, explore their everyday habits and discover how small green choices can contribute to a more sustainable future.
As part of the European Sustainable Development Week 2026, second-year students of the Business Economics Administrator and Commercialist programmes will take part in the activity “Green Challenge: 7 Days for Change”. The activity aims to show how small everyday decisions can contribute to a greener and more sustainable future.
During the seven-day challenge, students will explore a different aspect of sustainability each day. On the first day, they will examine their everyday habits related to transport, food, shopping, energy, water and waste and identify one habit they would like to change. On the second day, they will focus on reducing waste by avoiding unnecessary packaging, using reusable products and sorting waste responsibly. The third day will be dedicated to saving water and energy, with students identifying simple ways to reduce their daily consumption.
On the fourth day, students will explore responsible consumption by comparing everyday products according to price, packaging, origin, durability and possibilities for reuse. On the fifth day, they will focus on sustainable mobility and consider walking, cycling, public transport or other greener ways of travelling whenever possible. The sixth day will introduce the principles of the circular economy by encouraging students to give products a second life through reuse, repair, exchange or repurposing.
On the seventh day, students will reflect on their experiences, share their green choices with their peers and select at least one sustainable habit they would like to continue after the challenge. Together, they will create their “7 Green Choices” as a shared commitment to more responsible everyday behaviour.
Through practical actions, teamwork and reflection, students will develop environmental awareness, responsible consumption habits and an understanding of the environmental, social and economic dimensions of sustainable development.

U sklopu Europskog tjedna održivog razvoja 2026. učenici 2. razreda zanimanja Referent za poslovnu ekonomiju i Komercijalist sudjelovat će u aktivnosti „Zeleni izazov: 7 dana za promjenu“. Cilj aktivnosti je pokazati kako male svakodnevne odluke mogu pridonijeti zelenijoj i održivijoj budućnosti.
Tijekom sedmodnevnog izazova učenici će svakoga dana istraživati drugi aspekt održivosti. Prvoga dana analizirat će svoje svakodnevne navike povezane s prijevozom, prehranom, kupnjom, energijom, vodom i otpadom te prepoznati jednu naviku koju žele promijeniti. Drugoga dana usmjerit će se na smanjenje otpada izbjegavanjem nepotrebne ambalaže, korištenjem višekratnih proizvoda i odgovornim razvrstavanjem otpada. Treći dan bit će posvećen štednji vode i energije, pri čemu će učenici prepoznavati jednostavne načine smanjenja svakodnevne potrošnje.
Četvrtoga dana istraživat će odgovornu potrošnju uspoređujući svakodnevne proizvode prema cijeni, ambalaži, podrijetlu, trajnosti i mogućnosti ponovne uporabe. Petoga dana usmjerit će se na održivu mobilnost te, kada je moguće, razmotriti pješačenje, vožnju biciklom, javni prijevoz ili druge zelenije načine kretanja. Šestoga dana upoznat će načela kružnoga gospodarstva dajući proizvodima drugu priliku kroz ponovnu uporabu, popravak, razmjenu ili prenamjenu.
Sedmoga dana učenici će analizirati svoja iskustva, predstaviti svoje zelene odluke vršnjacima i odabrati najmanje jednu održivu naviku koju žele nastaviti primjenjivati i nakon završetka izazova. Zajedno će oblikovati svojih „7 zelenih odluka“ kao zajedničko obećanje odgovornijem svakodnevnom ponašanju.
Kroz praktično djelovanje, timski rad i promišljanje učenici će razvijati ekološku osviještenost, navike odgovorne potrošnje te razumijevanje okolišne, društvene i ekonomske dimenzije održivog razvoja.
