From Pasture to Product – Sustainable Production and Consumption in Sheep Farming

Students from class 8C trace the journey from managed pastures to sheep's milk, lamb, mutton, and useful wool products. They interview a sheep farmer and investigate sheep welfare, production resource

Eighth-grade students at Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić Primary School in Ogulin follow the journey from a sustainably managed pasture to sheep milk, lamb, mutton and useful wool products. They interview a farmer and examine sheep welfare, production resources, local sales and the challenge of wool that lacks a market or becomes waste. Students compare responsible and unsustainable choices and propose ways to add local value, reduce waste and encourage responsible purchasing while protecting pastures and cultural heritage. The results are presented through a public exhibition.
