Eating Well in Europe — Sustainable Development Week at Collège André Brouillet
A whole-school week on sustainable food, from the canteen to the garden, with a European angle (EU Farm to Fork strategy). Part of our Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project.
Collège André Brouillet (Valence-en-Poitou, France) mobilises students and staff around sustainable food. The programme includes a student-made exhibition and webradio show on sustainable food in Europe and the EU "Farm to Fork" strategy; an anti-food-waste challenge in the school canteen, with waste weighing and seasonal, local menus, led by the student eco-delegates and the catering team; and workshops in the school garden (harvest, composting, biodiversity) and in science classes. Linked to SDGs 2, 12 and 13. Part of the school's European Jean Monnet project.
Le collège André Brouillet (Valence-en-Poitou) mobilise élèves et personnels autour de l'alimentation durable. Au programme : une exposition et une émission de webradio réalisées par les élèves sur l'alimentation durable en Europe et la stratégie « De la ferme à la table » ; un défi anti-gaspillage à la cantine, avec pesée des déchets et menus de saison et locaux, piloté par les éco-délégués et le personnel de restauration ; des ateliers au jardin pédagogique (récolte, compostage, biodiversité) et en sciences. ODD 2, 12 et 13. Action inscrite dans le projet européen Jean Monnet du collège.
