National Sustainable Development Strategy or Action Plans
- Cyprus has Long Term Strategy and Green transition Strategies for 2030 and 2050
- The long-term strategy addresses issues related to most of the SDGs even though there is no direct link between the SDGs and the policies.
- The green transition strategy is a Roadmap for the Republic of Cyprus on Climate and Energy, as part of the country's participation in the collective European goal of a successful and sustainable transition to a climate-neutral economy by 2050.

Monitoring Sustainable Development
- The monitoring is done through the European semester Social Scoreboard, Green and economic indicators. An effort is made to integrate SDGs into the annual budgeting procedure so as to have a correlation between Government budget and SDGs. A national monitoring mechanism for SDGs is also under development following a study prepared by UNITAR.
- In each ministry and government body there is a dedicated administrator that follows up the progress related to the SDGs that are relevant to the work of each government unit.
