Say NO to plastic bags
By painting canvas bags, students fight against the excessive use of plastic bags
For the tenth year in a row, Prelog High School students have been fighting against the use of plastic bags in their town and surroundings as part of the Say NO to plastic bags project. Students paint canvas bags with their own motifs and promote and sell them to interested citizens.
On the occasion of the European Week of Sustainable Development, workshops were held where school students painted canvas bags with suitable autumn motifs. In this way, they want to make students, professors and citizens of Prelog aware of the harmful impact of plastic on the environment and encourage them to use more environmentally friendly canvas bags.
Već desetu godinu zaredom učenici Srednje škole Prelog u okviru projekta Recite NE plastičnim vrećicama bore se protiv korištenja plastičnih vrećica u svom gradu i okolici. Učenici oslikavaju platnene vrećice vlastitim motivima te ih promoviraju i prodaju zainteresiranim građanima.
Povodom Europskog tjedna održivog razvoja održane su radionice na kojima su učenici škole oslikavali platnene vrećice prigodnim jesenskim motivima. Na taj način žele osvijestiti učenike, profesore i građane Preloga o štetnom utjecaju plastike na okoliš te ih potaknuti na korištenje ekološki prihvatljivijih platnenih vrećica.
