2026 marks Ireland’s fifth year as part of European Sustainable Development Week. Ireland held its first SDG Week from 20-26 September 2022, with over 100 events taking place. For SDG Week 2025, around 100 events were organised across Ireland.
Events have covered a range of activities, workshops, discussions and webinars, across all aspects of the SDGs, from SDG awareness to sustainable fashion, upcycling to climate action, healthy eating to sustainable gardening, biodiversity to diversity and inclusion.
SDG Week in Ireland is run in association with the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment and the Library Services of Ireland.
